What is “melted raspberry jelly”?

I need to know for a raspberry chocolate cake I’m making. The recipe calls for ” one cup of melted raspberry jelly” as a filling. I have a box of raspberry JELLO, and I have raspberry jam. Do they want me to use raspberry jam, or unset jello? I’m confused! Help! I’m making this for my mother-in-law’s birthday cake TODAY! Thaks!
Another detail: The stores where we live don’t sell raspberry jelly, just raspberry jam.

Use the Raspberry Jam… the only difference is In Jelly, the fruit comes in the form of fruit juice and In jam, the fruit comes in the form of fruit pulp or crushed fruit. They both will melt and work well for your recipe. DO NOT use the jello.
