How can I make gummy bear without flavored gelatin?
Im trying to make some gummy candy. Most recipes out there uses jell-o or kool aid and stuff and I dont want to use them.
I tried mixing unflavored gelatin with juice and it just becomes a hard jelly and not a chewy gummy.
Any ideas on how make some?
Want to use juice for flavor and no artificial ingredients.
Agar is a colorless, flavorless gelatin-substitute that comes from seaweed. Carrageenan comes from the sea vegetable known as Irish moss. As you experiment with these gelatin substitutes, note that agar creates a firmer thickening, while carrageenan is a little more liquid.
