Novelty gifts - where can I find novelty gifts/creative gifts/unusual gifts?
Hello everyone. My best friend really likes sophisticated novelty gifts, creative gifts, unusual gifts and the like. He has many designer novelty gifts but he's still an avid collector of novelty gifts, particularly practical novelty gifts (like a designer bottle opener or novelty stationery), and I'm sure that she would welcome an addition to her novelty gift collection. The key thing is that, since she's so into novelty gifts, what I buy for her has to be truly unique, not merely, say, a common item with a cute design; it needs to be a really innovative/creative novelty gift item. I have seen PerpetualKid but I find the designs a little too tacky. Does anyone know of a good website with selected novelty gifts?

I suppose that I can help because I was in a similar situation some months ago. There are just too many things out there that are just trying too hard to be unique that it just becomes annoying browsing them... Trust me, I know.
I came across several good blogs and websites, which I don't really recall now, but I purchased a decor item at www.unthinkablegifts.com some months ago. Not the best or most comprehensive site around, but personally, I find the selections rather meticulously made. I joined the monthly newsletter too that picks out the best gifts recommended for you.
